Readers' Unharmed Homes

We've been getting requests to check out specific homes in the fire area. The following homes are completely unharmed (NOTE: These are not nearly ALL the unharmed homes in the Ranch, just those we've been asked to check into.)

6427 La Valle Plateada — OK

16501 Los Barbos — OK

17474 El Vuelo — OK

If you're checking into homes, have you heard anything regarding El Montevideo, specifically 6663 El Montevideo?

Thank you so much for checking on these, and in particular our house at 16501 Los Barbos. Everyone has been wonderful, and my family is so incredibly relieved. Thank you all again.

I'm relieved to hear that a house on Los Barbos is intact. Are the other houses on Los Barbos undamaged as well?

Thanks in advance.

I don't believe there were any damaged homes on Los Barbos.

To the Lago Lindo and El Montevideo readers, I did not heard any reports of damage or fires in those areas.

Our family hasn't heard anything about our house at 6463 Paseo Delicias. Can anyone confirm the status of our home?

Would you please check 17153 El Mirador. It is at the end of a long driveway and not visible from the street. It is 0.2 miles from La Valle Plateada intersection and on the left side. Gate will be open at end of driveway on left. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for providing current and useful information! If possible, we would appreciate if you could check on 6570 Mimulus.

Thanks again.

Our family has a condo at 16902 Via de Santa Fe. Any news on the status of that condo complex? Ours is #7 on the southern end. Thank you.

Can you check on my sister's home at 6108 Avenida del Duque? They're on vacation, and I'm not sure if they're aware of this site. Please know all our prayers are with everyone going through this devastation!

thank you for keeping this blog up to date as i know there is a lot going on. do you have any information on 16839 Via de Santa Fe- it's the last house at the end of the drive way. any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance.

Pauline,
It sounds like all of 16902 Via de Santa Fe is ok. My parents in #8 (the Hendersons) are your neighbors, and a friend checked on their condo last night--things looked good in the complex. Apparently 16902 was also in the news: I know that you all are in the middle of fire-proofing your rooftops, and apparently there was a news story that the firefighters took notice and paid special attention to the remaining shake-shingled roof units. We all owe the firefighters our heartfelt gratitude!

Thanks for checking on these homes. If you have an opportunity to check on 17077 El Mirador, near the intersection of Las Colinas, any information would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much for the public service you're providing.

Can anyone provide info 16950 Avenida Luis (the Moon residence -- our parents/parents-in-law)? We know that two homes unfortunately were lost on Avenida Luis, and that 16950 was not listed among them, but that's all we know. Any further information you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks

Brooke! Thank you so much. We were planning a family visit for Thanksgiving, but seems like some of us need to come down sooner, when the smoke clears. And, yes, the firefighters are, as always, everyone's heroes. "Thank you" to them is just not enough, but all I have right now. Thanks, too, to those keeping this blog afloat. You are setting a lot of minds at ease. - Pauline in San Francisco

When you are out checking homes can you check 16428 Via de la Valle? I also want to reiterate what others have said, "Thank you so much for this blog and for the efforts of everyone at the Association. It is most appreciated.

This is Ian from the RSF Review: Most of the homes that have been asked about are 100 percent OK as far as I know.

El Montevideo, Lago Lindo and Paseo Delicias were not hit by the fire.

16428 Via De La Valle (near La Gracia, correct?) is unharmed.

Avenida Del Duque wasn't hit as far as I know.

I do not know about 16950 Avenida Luis.

HOWEVER: If you see homes on your street listed on the Fire District site, but not your home, that almost certainly means that your home was not hit. The damage was extremely sporadic and the firefighters checked all the homes beginning yesterday morning. The counts match what I'm seeing with my eyes, which is a few lost homes but most areas undamaged.

Thanks Ian. You had the right location for 16428 Via de la Valle as it is close to La Gracia.

Thank you again!!

sorry to bother everyone but does anyone know about 7052 La Valle Plateada?

Kevin01 said...

Bianca - your house is fine - as are most (I believe all) others on your street (at least those visible from the street). This is Kevin - father of Maddy and Ali - we are here and all looks good - except for those posted homes that have been lost. I believe everyone can get back tomorrow, but if your parents need us to handle anything for them we are here and able to help.

Kevin01 said...

6769 La Valle Plateada - If you are still wondering, I am reasonably certain that all is OK at your house. We have been checking houses for others, but I didn't get your request until just now - I ran out of power for my laptop (we were out of power on El Vuelo until just recently) - I can check for you for certain tomorrow if you can't make it in.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Pauline,
I don't know if you'll get this, but my mom just returned home and everything at 16902 Via de Santa Fe looks good...dirty but good...'things look better than I thought they would', she said. Feel free to email me if there is anything they can do/check on for you....I can put you in touch with them if you don't have their tel #. I'm at brookehenderson6@yahoo.com

Thank you too for those that contributed to and maintained this blog. It's been THE most helpful and comforting resource I've found.
